On The Gossip Girl Set With Jessica Szohr Wearing Reem Acra

The stars of Gossip Girl are back on the streets of New York yesterday filming their hit show, and I was gob smacked by how stunning Jessica Szohr looked on set wearing a stunning ivory Reem Acra Spring 2008 gown.
Jessica, who was filming with Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass), looked absolutely stunning as she filmed scenes wearing the delicate chiffon and satin gown with beaded cap sleeves.
It’s an extremely romantic gown, and the elegant updo and bold red lips adds to the overall charm.
I wonder if Chuck was able to keep his hands to himself.
If you are thinking that this gown looks familiar, it’s because Olivia Wilde wore the same gown to the 2008 Emmy Awards.

Sarah Gadon In Jason Wu – “A Dangerous Method” Toronto Film Festival

Sarah Gadon joined Keira Knightley on the red carpet on Saturday night for the “A Dangerous Method” Toronto Film Festival Premiere.
The blonde actress wore a Jason Wu Fall 2011 gown.
Her black chiffon gown with a lace yoke is accented with a gold waistband.
It’s not easy following Karlie Kloss in any look, but Sarah made this look her own by taking the Old Hollywood route with her flawless styling.
Her red lips are perfection.
I’m dying for that muted shade and her 1940s hairstyle which is becoming quite a celebrity trend.

On The Set Of Gossip Girl With Leighton Meester In Oscar de la Renta

Leighton Meester was all smiles being back to work on the set of ‘Gossip Girl’ in New York City yesterday.
As she stepped out of her trailer we can see that she’s wearing an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2011 dress.
The sophisticated grey silk chiffon cap sleeve embroidered dress has a beaded neckline, waistline and hemline.
‘Blair Waldorf’ would never been seen anywhere near Ugg boots, so obviously Leighton was wearing her Ugg boots and polka dot hoodie between takes.
A braided updo and complementary makeup completed her look.

Nina Dobrev In Donna Karan – 2011 Emmy Awards

WHAT a knock out.
This is how you kick start the 2011 Emmy Awards.
Usually we have to wait a while for a magic moment, but Nina Dobrev served up a stunning red Donna Karan Resort 2012 gown right from the start.
I’m not usually a fan of Nina’s one-trick pony style, but she will most definitely book herself a place on the Best Dressed list, which I can confidently say after only seeing a few looks.
In black the strapless gown is so so, in red…I die.
Side swept glossy locks, a stunning silver Neil Lane necklace, Brian Atwood heels and clutch completed the look.
This is the one to beat.

Eva Mendes In Atelier Versace – “Last Night” Rome Film Festival Opening Ceremony Premiere

In Rome tonight, protesters stormed the red carpet before the “Last Night” Rome Film Festival opening ceremony premiere.
They were protesting about budget cuts at the Italian film studios Cinecitta, so the red carpet was abandoned.
Eva then headed to the cocktail party for the movie which was held at the Lancia Cafe.
She brought sexy back for one night only wearing a breathtakingly magnificent Atelier Versace Fall 2010 gown.
This was my favourite gown from Atelier Versace Fall 2010 collection.
I had earmarked if for Penelope Cruz, but Eva more than does it justice. It’s such a shame it didn’t get the red carpet outing is so very much deserves.
Her open back pinky peach gown is entirely embroidered in silk fringes and crystals of the same colour.
I just love the asymmetrical cuts on the dress and the fringes.
Had Eva worn her hair up, I would’ve loved this look even more.

Runway To Maestro’s Steakhouse – Rihanna In Zac Posen

Saturday night was date night for Rihanna and her boyfriend Matt Kemp.
The singer and her baseball beau could barely keep their hands of each as they walked to West Hollywood’s Maestro’s steakhouse for dinner.
The red-headed singer was enjoying some downtime with her man before continuing her “Last Girl on Earth” tour which restarts in July.
She looked uber sexy wearing a Zac Posen leopard print jacquard dress from the Resort 2010 collection.
What makes this dress sexy is the double-layer bodice with a sweetheart neckline.
It would be easy to believe her dress has fallen too low and is revealing her bra.
I love the way this dress hugs her curves.
Ri Ri paired her Posen dress with a nude pigalle’s.

On Our Radar: Sinclaire10 Chantilly Lace Cashmere Cardigan
Exposed lingerie and similar peekaboo pieces were everywhere in the Spring 2010 collections (at Marc Jacobs, and Giambattista Valli, and Christian Dior, just to name a few), but I found myself wondering how I could translate the runway trend into my everyday wardrobe—and remain, as they say, SFW. Luckily, the new brand Sinclaire10 has come to the rescue. This cashmere cardigan is lined with Chantilly lace, giving a hint of sex appeal without any indecent exposure. Designer Paul Sinclaire suggested pairing it with a striped tee for work, and I’ll layer it over a nude silk top—buttoned up, of course—for cocktails afterward.Sinclaire10 Chantilly lace cashmere cardigan, $245, available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue this February.—Marina Larroude

Tailored shorts
Smart, stylish and versatile … A model wears Country Road tailored shorts.
In 1932, tennis ace Alice Marble gave shorts their first fashion moment in the US. Long and droopy, they shocked the world; then pin-up girls such as Betty Grable honed the racy new look with figure-hugging short shorts.
Why you need it now
Designers sent out tailored shorts this season, offering a sharp alternative to the skirts and dresses we’ve seen in recent years. This fresh take is smart, stylish and versatile, covering a polished look at work, casual at play or amped up for a night out.

What to look for
In shorter versions, look for a fitted waist with banded pleats or turned-up cuffs. With longer cuts, a slim leg and no cuff is the go.
For striking colour combinations, match yellow with dark grey and white, navy with sky blue and orange or go with fashion’s foolproof method: tonal (for example, navy and pale blue, red and orange, neutrals and wispy whites).
Finish the look with a slimline belt. Alternatively, short, dark denim or longer, snow-wash denim is for the edgy. Team with a chic stripe or flower prints. In cooler climes, pair your cut-off denims with tights and boots, London style. Hot pants are passé and avoid boxy Bermudas – the ladylike look is the only way to go.
Style to suit you
For petite shapes, a shorter cut will lengthen your legs. Otherwise go with a neutral skinny, stovepipe style that finishes just above the knee. Wear with high fashion heels for an on-trend take.
Pear shapes, look to a fuller style worn with a fitted tee and jacket. Wedges will streamline the line of the leg while keeping the look chic.
Busty shapes suit crisp cotton tailoring in shorts and shirt to create sharpness. Pair with a blazer and pumps for a cool corporate look.
Larger ladies, look to a line that follows your form without being snug. Wide cuffs help legs look lean beneath them. Top with a loose-fitting blouse and a favourite necklace and team with espadrilles or leather sandals.
Tall gals, go with mid-thigh or knee length in neutral tones that make your legs look like they go for miles. Keep the leg line slim, with no cuff necessary.
Where to shop
Farage for classic, Ellery for metallic, Arnsdorf for denim, Friedrich Gray for slim, Marcs for full, Karen Walker for checks and Eduardo Calucag’s gathered sateen shorts are super stylish.

Amanda Seyfried In Prabal Gurung – ‘In Time’ LA Premiere

I absolutely knew Amanda Seyfried would be the first to wear a look from the Prabal Gurung Spring 2012 collection.
The actress worked the hell out of this psychedelic floral-print dress when she made her way down the red carpet for the LA premiere for ‘In Time’ last night.
Her violet drop waist dress with a plunging back and circle skirt looks even better with the harness belt, don’t you agree?
She also has the right attitude to pull off this look and I like the simple embellished sandals which allow me to focus on the dress.
A voluminous blow-out, smoky Kohl-rimmed eyes, nude lips and a silver bracelet completed this BDOTW-worthy look.
